Founder
Dr. Satyen Yadav
A plant scientist turned institution-builder, Dr. Satyen Yadav has spent four decades converting research into livelihoods — from Himalayan forest ecology at Kumaun University to national agri-export policy, farmer producer organisations and food-security models spanning eleven regions of the world. He founded the Horticulture Produce Management Institute in 2000, chairs Indian Potatoes Ltd and the Bundelkhand Agribusiness Foundation, and launched the Indian Millet Initiative. With more than forty published research papers, 297 invited lectures and a lifetime of mentoring young researchers and agri-entrepreneurs, he brings to this Initiative the very conviction it was founded on: that experience should never retire.
